this is currently either bluetooth input or a hard wired connection to USB-C.

bluetooth input can not be recorded as it does not come out of any channel of the drum brain except for the headphones.
hard wired works with kind of with a work around.. by default the mixer control in the drum brain only allows both stereo channels from the input and the sound from the drum triggers to be mixed into the main output. If you want to record the original song being played on the phone in conjunction with the drum output sound, you must have them mixed. The work around is to only input a single channel of audio into the drum brain from the phone. This has one clean channel on the main output with just the drum sound, and the other channel with a mix of the drum sound and the song. If you pull the headphone plug out slightly such that the single mono channel is played in both earphones, this is the work around. Not ideal, but workable.

Ideal is a stereo recording of whatever source track will be recorded separately on the computer, along with a clean output from the drum brain.

Annoyingly all 24 input channels are allocated currently.

Reevaluate this and see what is possible.
